Nicolas has spent over a decade at the intersection of physics, engineering, and medical technology. He holds a PhD in semiconductor photonics and built his early career on complex hardware systems – laser optics, nanophotonics, and atomic clock instrumentation – before moving into system engineering for Class II medical imaging platforms. He then led product and operations for a digital health company, overseeing the full lifecycle delivery of SaMD products – from AI-powered mobile health applications for chronic disease monitoring to regulatory clearance under EU MDR, IEC 62304 and ISO 13485. That hands-on experience building and shipping regulated hardware-software systems is what shapes how he thinks about product. He's today CPO at Matrix One, where he drives the ALM, PLM, and eQMS product strategy for medtech manufacturers, with a particular focus on embedding AI capabilities into compliance workflows. His goal is to empower manufacturers to build great products with the agility of modern software tools and the rigor the industry demands.
